Today I am sharing with you a recipe for DIY Pore Strips! With only three ingredients, they are cheap, easy, and just as effective as the store-bought ones
What are Pore Strips for?
Pore strips a great for anyone with clogged pores, as they get rid of the dirt in our pores and leave behind a clean skin. They do not prevent blackheads or acne. But what they do is, they reduce the appearance of not so pretty sights.
How to make DIY Pore Strips
- One tbsp milk
- One tbsp unflavored gelatin
- One egg white
Mix the ingredients together. Put the bowl in the microwave for one minute. Be prepared for an awful smell!
Dip a paper towel (cut to size) into the mixture and apply to the area. Let the DIY Pore Strip dry completely and peel off.
Do not use the DIY pore strips as an all over face peeling! People tried this, and their experience was rather painful! Keep it to the area on your nose, chin, and between the brows. But be careful not to apply to the brow hair, because you will rip out the hair when you remove the strip.
Color me surprised on how well these work! Defiantly just as good as a store-bought! The DIY Pore Strips are quickly made. But the smell after heating the mixture up is horrendous!
I also gave the mix a few minutes to cool down a bit before applying it to my face. I used it on my nose and chin area!
I did use a tiny bit on above my eyebrow area (which is in desperate need of a groom) to test if it actually will pull out the hair when removed. And yes it does! So maybe this could be a good base for a DIY Brow Wax? I am definitely making a note for a future DIY project!
Until next time
