Baby Powder for the Eyes – Primer and fuller lashes
Dust your eyelids and eyelashes with baby powder before applying shadow and mascara. It will work as a primer, and the powder on the lashes will make them appear fuller when mascara is applied. But do not use between coats, as that will cause the mascara to crumple and clump
The baby powder is not an equal substitute for regular eyeshadow primer but works well enough in a pinch. And the results are better than using nothing as a base.
It works beautifully on the lashes to make them appear fuller. But not with every mascara. Funny thing is it seems that drugstore mascaras work best with this trick. Where high-end products seem to clump the lashes when dusted with baby powder. Just give it a try with your favorite mascara and see how it works. You got nothing to lose 😉
Baby Powder for Face – Set your Makeup
Dip a fluffy face brush in the baby powder and work it into the bristles in a circular motion. Tap the brush once to get the excess off, and apply to face!
It instantly takes away unwanted shine and leaves the face feeling baby soft! The foundation holds up way into the day.
Take a look at the ingredients of your store-bought setting powder. You will see that the main ingredient is starch (which baby powder is a variation of) The starch is what makes your foundation last, all the other things in your setting powder are unnecessary add-ons (for the purpose of setting the foundation).
Baby Powder for lips – Make your Lipstick Last
Dust lips with baby powder, then apply lip liner and a layer of lipstick. Now take a tissue and hold over your lips, and dust your lips again with powder and do your second coat of lipstick!
